Patients with Medicare Part D will soon have a new way to access GLP-1 drug coverage for weight loss. CMS announced new details about a short-term payment demonstration called the Medicare GLP-1 Bridge that will be operational in July. This coverage will be facilitated through participating Part D plans in 2027, but until then a central processor will pay claims for eligible patients.
