Men face specific health care challenges, including specific morbidity, mortality, and lifespan gender gap trends. By reading up on their needs, pharmacists can provide men with more specialized care. In this Learning Hour session on April 9, you'll hear from two respected experts on men's health on the biological, sociocultural, and health access factors influencing men's health outcomes, as well as men's attitudes toward health behaviors and health care utilization.
Ronald K. Henry, Esq., president of the Men's Health Network, and Salvatore J. Giorgianni, PharmD, chair-emeritus and cofounder of the American Public Health Association's Men's Health Caucus, will also highlight opportunities for community pharmacies to engage male patients through education, counseling, and everyday interactions. Federal and state policy considerations affecting men's health will also be discussed.
