NCPA is sad to announce the passing of Lois Davis (Diggs), who worked in the NCPA conventions and meetings department for over 30 years. Lois was a mother, grandmother, and great grandmother, and her work contributed massively to NCPA's mission. She passed away peacefully at 84 years old.
To our sponsors, Lois was a trusted partner and to many, a friend. To our staff, she was an essential part of our team. She was reliable, a team player, and always ready with words of encouragement.
New employees always got to know Lois, and her sense of humor, quickly. She'd greet them and every time, let them know it was her "birthday," and encourage them to buy her lunch. It was, of course, never her actual birthday. It was clever, playful, and funny — just like Lois.
We will miss Lois deeply and send our condolences to her loved ones.
