NCPA planting seeds for additional PBM reform in the Cornhusker state

NCPA December 1, 2025

NCPA Director of State Government Affairs Joel Kurzman recently joined the Nebraska Pharmacists Association, mutual members, and other pharmacy stakeholders in informal meetings of the Unicameral’s Banking, Commerce, and Insurance Committee in Lincoln, Neb. The meetings are part of the interim study required by LR 124, introduced earlier this year. The study is examining the role of PBMs within the Nebraska health insurance industry and the impact on prescription drug prices, the transparency and accountability of the practices of PBMs, and identifying potential legislative or regulatory solutions to address concerns related to PBM practices.
