The Arkansas House Commerce and Insurance Committee is scheduled to hear H.B. 1150 today. Rep. Jeremiah Moore (R) and State Sen. Kim Hammer (R) introduced H.B. 1150, first-of-its-kind legislation that would prohibit PBMs who own pharmacies from being permitted in the state. By Jan. 1, 2026, existing permits would be revoked from any PBM with direct or indirect ownership in retail sales of drugs or medicines in the state. Since the bill’s introduction, similar legislation has been introduced or amended into bills in Indiana, New York, Texas, and Vermont. You can stream the hearing here.
