NCPA joined pharmacy access research leaders at the Pharmacy Access Symposium, hosted by the University of Southern California, on May 29 to discuss work from the USC-NCPA Pharmacy Access Initiative, the latest research on pharmacy closures, and current efforts to improve pharmacy access in the United States. NCPA contributed insights on the challenges facing community pharmacies and the policy strategies needed to keep them viable, especially in underserved areas. The event brought together leading researchers from across the country, former CMS policy professionals, independent pharmacy owners, and other industry experts and stakeholders for a thoughtful dialogue on preserving pharmacy access in a shifting healthcare landscape.
