  • Robert Goldberg, Ph.D., is a Senior Fellow at the National Center for Policy Analysis. He also is a Senior Research Fellow at the Ethics and Public Policy Center and is director of the Center's project on Medical Science and Society.

  • Dr. Goldberg has conducted research and written extensively on the impact of price controls on biopharmaceutical innovation, FDA control of medical information, and the impact government regulation of medicine has had on health care quality. Dr. Goldberg is also writing a book on how we pay for health care and attacks on biotechnology are limiting the pace of medical progress in America and ultimately driving up the cost of health care.

  • Through his writing, conferences and lectures, he was also instrumental in forcing a re-evaluation of the Clinton Administration's Vaccines for Children Program and the State Children's Health Insurance Program.

  • Dr. Goldberg is the author of numerous articles and reports including The Vaccine for Children Program: A Critique, Ten Myths about the Market for Prescription Drugs, "We're Entitled to Everything But Health" and Nickeled and Dimed to Death, an article on the impact of price controls on medical progress and the public's access to new medications.

  • Dr. Goldberg has testified before the Senate Special Committee on Aging, the Senate Small Business Committee, and the House Commerce Committee. He has written on health care and social policy for the Weekly Standard, National Review, National ReviewOnline, the Wall Street Journal, the Washington Post, the Los Angeles Times, Policy Review and Regulation. He has appeared on Fox News Channel, CNN, the Newshour with Jim Lehrer, Financial News Network, the Armstrong Williams Show and the Today Show.

  • He is also an adjunct scholar at the American Enterprise Institute and an associate with the Alliance for Aging Research. He received his Ph.D. in Public Policy at Brandeis University in 1984.
