Producer Price Index: Pharmaceutical Prices Up Amid Deflation

Deflation in the Producer Price Index (PPI) continued last month, as PPI for final demand dropped 0.1 percent from February. Prices for final demand goods, less volatile food and energy, increased 0.2 percent. Prices of pharmaceutical preparations increased 0.4 percent, writes NCPA Senior Fellow John R. Graham.
