Strange Bedfellows Defending Obamacare

All the GOP candidates for president want to repeal Obamacare. However, a new report argues doing so will increase the deficit by repealing the taxes and cuts to the Medicare program that are part of the Affordable Care Act. Yet, this makes no sense. Repealing Obamacare's coverage provisions will save nearly a trillion over a decade. Obamacare taxes increase the cost of medical care. Moreover, most of the cuts to the Medicare program have not occurred due to the likely impact on seniors' access to medical care. The reality is the ACA is incredibly expensive and repealing it will ultimately lower the burden on taxpayers.
