Is Health Inflation Really Quite Tame?

Many observers believe medical price inflation is tame. The average of the medical Consumer Price Index is 2.65 percent. However, that is still 1.85 percentage points higher than CPI, in line with historical norms. So, the new normal is not much of an improvement.
