Tobacco: Top User of Agriculture Guest Worker (H-2A) Visa Program

According to the U.S. Department of Labor's (DOL) Office of Foreign Labor Certification program, alone, the number of H-2A visa holders in agriculture has risen nearly 35% in the past decade. Tens of thousands of agriculture guest workers are designated to work in tobacco while food products go unharvested.
