Pharmaceutical companies are repackaging cheap and readily available ingredients into combination drugs, and charging 99% more than they're worth. The available ingredients are often available over the counter at a fraction of the cost, and could save consumers thousands of dollars, says NCPA Senior Fellow Devon Herrick.
