About the Authors
W. Michael Cox is Senior Vice President and Chief Economist at the Federal Reserve Bank of Dallas. He is a Senior Fellow at the National Center for Policy Analysis, Professor at Southern Methodist University, an Adjunct Scholar at the CATO Institute and President of the Association for Private Enterprise Education. He is a columnist for Investor's Business Daily and IntellectualCapital.com. Cox has written for the New York Times and the Wall Street Journal and has been featured in Wired magazine. He is a frequent guest on Voice of America and National Public Radio.
Richard Alm received his master's degree in journalism from the University of Kansas. Currently a business reporter with the Dallas Morning News, Alm has also worked for U.S. News & World Report and the Arizona Republic.
