NCPA's Goodman to Testify: Convert Social Security to Private Pension Plans |
WASHINGTON, D.C. - National Center for Policy Analysis (NCPA) President John Goodman will testify before the House Ways & Means Subcommittee on Social Security that adoption of a fully funded private pension system, coupled with a restructuring of Medicare would convert Social Security to a safer, more lucrative retirement system for tomorrow's seniors.
Dr. Goodman, NCPA's founder and Ph.D. economist, has spent the last decade studying alternatives to the current Social Security system in Chile, Singapore, Hong Kong, Columbia, Peru, Argentina, United Kingdom and elsewhere. One of the nation's foremost authorities on pension privatization, Dr. Goodman wrote one of the first books published on the subject.
The National Center for Policy Analysis is a public policy research institute founded in 1983 and internationally known for its studies on public policy issues. The NCPA is headquartered in Dallas, Texas, with an office in Washington, D.C.
