PRESS RELEASE: Katy Meaker Menges Named NCPA Vice President Public Affairs |
Dallas Katy Meaker Menges has been promoted to Vice President Public Affairs for
the National Center for Policy Analysis. She now heads up a department that is responsible for
all of the center’s media, external affairs and events planning.
When an unexpected opening came up for director of Special Events, it was a natural
transition to place those activities under Katy’s oversight, NCPA Executive Vice President
Jeanette Goodman said. That’s been her expertise for years.
Mrs. Menges joined the NCPA in April of this year as Director of Public Affairs. She
brought with her 17 years of public relations experience in Dallas and Washington, D.C.,
working with organizations like Dallas Can! Academy, The Resource, Inc., The Coalition for a
Safer Dallas, KMC Communications and UF&I/Surety Management. Through those jobs, Mrs.
Menges has gained experience in:
At KMC communications, Mrs. Menges developed campaigns for candidates in judicial
and Senatorial races. She also served as one of the National Youth Spokeswomen for President
Ronald Reagan.
Mrs. Menges is active in a number of civic and charitable organizations including
member of the Executive Committee of the Greater Dallas Crime Commission, Junior League of
Dallas, Friends of Fair Park board member, Rotary International, Press Club of Dallas board of
directors, Dallas Theater Center Benefactors, Dallas Museum of Art Builders Committee,
Leadership Dallas Alumni Association, the Dallas Friday Group and is a Certified Juvenile
Mediator.
