Phillip Roth is Vice President of Marketing and Communications at the National Center for Policy Analysis. Prior to joining the NCPA, Phillip led marketing and communications initiatives for companies such as EDS, TXU, and Direct Energy as well as non-profit organizations such as Compassion International. Most recently, he was a vice president at Ketchum Public Relations.
Phillip began his career as a television news reporter in Amarillo, Texas. He also was communications director for the successful state senate campaign of Teel Bivins, who later was appointed ambassador to Sweden.
A creative and resourceful communications leader, Phillip has extensive experience using strategic communication planning to raise organizational awareness. He has built relationships that resulted in coverage in numerous regional and national publications and has led spokesperson training for leaders in Asia, South America and Africa.
Phillip has a bachelor’s degree from Arizona State University, with a major in broadcast journalism and a minor in political science. He has served on the board of a local chapter of Goodwill Industries, regularly volunteers in the Plano Independent School District, and has offered his time helping Special Olympic athletes. Phillip also is active in his church and is an Eagle Scout. He lives in Plano with his wife and daughter.
