• Former White House Adviser and Communications Director Karen Hughes was featured speaker at the NCPA/Hatton W. Sumners Foundation Distinguished Lecture Series on March 3. Hughes’s remarks were covered extensively by local and national media.
  
• The NCPA/Sumners Foundation Distinguished Lecture Series featured ABC-TV News Correspondent and 20/20 Co-anchor John Stossel on February 18. Stossel told the audience that his work as an Emmy Award-winning consumer reporter convinced him that free markets are efficient and work in society’s best interests.

• Her Majesty Queen Noor of Jordan spoke about her recent book, “Leap of Faith: Memoirs of an Unexpected Life,” with NCPA Policy Chairman Pete du Pont at an NCPA/Hatton W. Sumners Foundation Distinguished Lecture Series on January 15.
