• Creators Syndicate has nominated NCPA Senior Fellow Bruce Bartlett for a prestigious Pulitzer Prize. Bartlett’s twice-weekly column appears regularly in the Washington Times and the New York Sun, and frequently in Investor’s Business Daily, the Indianapolis Star, National Review Online, Townhall.com and other major daily newspapers and Web sites.
• Debate Central, the NCPA’s online resource educating over 400,000 high school debaters each year, was honored as the runner-up in the Templeton Freedom Prizes for Excellence in Promoting Liberty award for Student Outreach. The award seeks to recognize exceptional work toward bettering the education of freedom through academics.
