  • NBC-TV’s Tim Russert quoted NCPA Senior Fellow Bruce Bartlett’s remarks about the high cost of the Medicare bill on the December 21 edition of Meet the Press.

  • NCPA President John C. Goodman told the McCuistion program (PBS) on December 31 that Medicare reform will be expensive, but the creation of HSAs will revolutionize the U.S. health care and health insurance industries.

  • NCPA Senior Fellow H. Sterling Burnett told WFAA-TV (Dallas-Fort Worth) on December 28 that the Endangered Species Act has been expensive and ineffective.

  • NCPA Senior Fellow William Conerly told CNNfn’s The Flip Side on December 5 that the unemployment insurance system creates disincentives for re-employment, keeping workers out of a job longer.

  • NCPA Senior Fellow Bruce Bartlett discussed U.S. trade relations on CNBC's Kudlow & Cramer program on November 5.

  • Bartlett told CNBC on October 22 that while latest projections call for a record budget deficit, the economic effects of the Bush tax cuts will help offset any negative impact.

  • Burnett told WFAA-TV (Dallas-Ft. Worth) on October 10 and October 14 that clean-air diesel rules would harm small businesses.

  • Bartlett’s analysis of the latest Census Bureau figures on poverty was featured on the October 6 edition of Special Report with Brit Hume on the Fox News Channel. His remarks also appeared in his nationally syndicated column for the Washington Times and the New York Sun.

  • On October 3, Conerly told the Lehrer News Hour (PBS-TV) that the job market is soft but improving.
