  • NCPA Senior Policy Analyst Matt Moore appeared with Rep. Nick Smith (R-MI) at a Washington, D.C., press conference to release a Social Security reform bill, stating that future taxpayers face heavy long-term taxes if the Social Security system is not reformed.

  • NCPA Senior Fellow and Public Trustee of Social Security and Medicare Thomas R. Saving told the U.S. Senate Committee on Aging on July 29 that the financial outlook for both programs has deteriorated significantly since just last year.

  • At a July 24 news conference at the U.S. Capitol, Senior Fellow Dr. Devon Herrick appeared with Rep. Michael Burgess (R-TX) to release a report showing that seniors can save as much or more by using shopping techniques that are common in any market other than health care than by importing drugs from other countries. http://www.ncpa.org/pub/ba/ba448/
